A directory and review site for desktop software. Every app gets a page with a description, screenshots, version details and system requirements. Downloads point to the official publisher, and the CMS refuses entries without one.

  • Payload CMS 3 inside the Next.js app: admin, auth, media library and API in one process and one deploy
  • PostgreSQL 16 with full-text search on a GIN index instead of a separate search service
  • Incremental static regeneration, so pages load like static files with a database behind them
  • Images served as AVIF with WebP fallback through next/image and sharp
  • A background job that checks download links still work
  • Runs on a VPS under systemd
