Crypto and creator communities on Telegram run “comment crews”: everyone drops an X post, and everyone comments on everyone else’s. Run by hand, it falls apart fast with duplicates, missing usernames and people who post without engaging.

The bot runs the whole session:

  • An admin opens a session with /slot. Members post one X link each with their @username
  • Every link format is normalised (x.com, www., http://, app share links, which it resolves and caches), so the same tweet pasted two ways counts as a duplicate and is removed
  • Links without a username are deleted with a warning that cleans itself up after 10 seconds
  • Backup accounts, admin-only chat during sessions, mutes and bans

Python 3.12, python-telegram-bot and SQLite, with a pytest suite. Deployable to Render.
